Not only did Alain Badiou<\/a>\u00a0get some unusual press<\/a> as a result of one of Taylor Swift’s friends carrying a tote bag with his 2012 book titled\u00a0Philosophy for Militants<\/a> but Eugene Thacker<\/a> had an entire RadioLab<\/a>\u00a0episode devoted to the somewhat unusual appearance of his book In the Dust of This Planet<\/a>\u00a0in multiple mass media outlets. Does this mean that an increased cultural awareness of life’s potential on Earth to end as we know it is beginning to make itself known? At a time when there is an ongoing mass extinction<\/a> of species this could be a significant shift. Maybe.
